Quinoa Atkins

Should you eat quinoa ot not when you are on Atkins diet?

This is not the best news but unfortunately not. There are 35 net carbs per serving quinoa so it's a no-no for people on Atkins. According to Colette Heimowitz: 

I'm also not entirely sure how sprouting changes the nutrient content. An educated guess would be that it is easier to digest because the husk is sprouted and therefore the nutrients more bio available. 


So if you are on Atkins maybe the best to avoid quinoa.
